Philosophy & Purpose

Lincoln Christian Academy holds that education is designed to meet the needs of the total student. Our program will help the student grow and develop emotionally, intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually. Our desire is that each student will develop an eagerness and love for learning.

Curriculum and Teaching Methods

We encourage innovation and creativity in the classrooms. Our early childhood program provides outside play, learning centers, music with movement, and hands-on manipulatives to help the student grow and develop fine and gross motor skills. Elementary students receive instruction in various core subjects such as math, language arts, science, social studies, and Bible; and enrichment classes such as music, physical education, visual arts, and MakerSpace/technology.

Why Choose LCA?

1. Highly qualified teachers. (All teachers are highly qualified to teach excellent academics and to integrate all Bible principles.)

2. Preparing Servant Leaders. (All students at LCA will be taught the importance of serving others before self.)

3. Family and Community Engagement (Fostering a sense of community by engaging families in their child's learning process by service projects and participating in their child's spiritual walk with God.)

Hello Lincoln Christian Academy Families!

I have been in education for the past 15 years. I have had the honor to have experienced administration at all three academic levels. I served at Fred T. Foard High School as an assistant principal, Maiden Elementary School as an assistant principal, Southwest Middle School as an assistant principal, Holbrook Middle School as the principal, and Cherryville Elementary School as the principal.

Rebecca Landers 26-7.jpg

Rebecca Landers

School Secretary

Hello, my name is Rebecca Landers, and I am honored to be your school secretary this year and teach Bible class for 1st, 4th, and 5th grade. I have worked at Lincoln Christian Academy for four years now. First as a teacher in the Preschool for 3 years, and then as the Hybrid middle school classroom facilitator in 2025.  I have over 13 years of Children's ministry experience, and a degree in Ministry Leadership with a minor in Discipleship from Lee University. My prayer for this year is that each student will be equipped in the Word and emboldened with faith. Knowing how loved and cherished they are by God. That their time at LCA would not just leave a strong academic impact, but a great spiritual impact in their lives as well.

Brooklyn Sellers

Kindergarten Teacher

Hi, my name is Miss Sellers, and I am one of the kindergarten teachers. I am currently in lateral entry to earn my certification in elementary education. I  have been around children my whole life. I started babysitting when I was just 15, and since then my love for children has grown. Last school year, I was a kindergarten teacher assistant here at LCA, and the position sparked my interest in wanting to work with children in the future.  I also help in the nursery on Sundays and Wednesdays here at Covenant Church. This year I’m super excited to help your children grow to their best in academics but also in their walk with Jesus!

I will graduate from Western Carolina University this December with a Bachelor’s degree in Birth–Kindergarten Education. I am passionate about creating a classroom where students develop a love of learning. I want them to ask questions, investigate new ideas, build confidence, and take ownership of their learning. I look forward to partnering with families and helping each student grow throughout the school year.

Cheryl Black

2nd/3rd Grade Teacher

I’m Cheryl Black, the 2nd/3rd grade combo class teacher. It’s an honor to have my 2nd graders from last year as our new 3rd graders and some new 2nd graders!  I’ve worked in education for 24 years. Before retiring from Lincoln County Schools last summer, I had taught 1st through 5th grade. This is my second year teaching at LCA; I'm very thankful to begin my 25th year in education here. I’m excited to be able to merge my two great loves: my love for Jesus Christ and my love of teaching children! It’s a true blessing to guide students in their learning, especially when they master concepts that may have been difficult/confusing for them. I want to encourage students to love God, His Son, Jesus Christ, to love and live out His Word faithfully so that others may see Jesus in them.
